Removal Procedure
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
- Reposition the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose clamp.
- Remove the PCV hose from the cover.
- Disconnect the intake (2) and exhaust (1) camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connectors.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe retainer (2) from the fuel pipe bracket.
- Remove the fuel feed pipe bracket bolt and bracket.
- Disconnect and remove the ignition coil electrical connector harness clips from the cover.
- Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement.
- Remove the camshaft cover bolts.
- Remove the camshaft cover.
Installation Procedure
- Install the camshaft cover and bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement.
- Install and connect the ignition coil electrical connector harness clips to the cover.
- Install the fuel feed pipe bracket and bolt and tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the fuel feed pipe retainer (2) to the fuel pipe bracket.
- Connect the intake (2) and exhaust (1) camshaft position actuator solenoid valve electrical connectors.
- Install the PCV hose to the cover.
- Position the PCV hose clamp.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
