Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1843627 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube (1) fitting from the air cleaner outlet duct.
  3. Reposition the tube out of the way.

  4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps (1, 3) at the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and throttle body.
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct bolt (2).
  6. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1843662 Size: SH
  1. Position and install the air cleaner outlet duct to the MAF/IAT sensor and the throttle body.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the air cleaner outlet duct bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  3. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps (1, 3) at the MAF/IAT sensor and throttle body to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1843627 Size: SH
  4. Position the PCV tube.
  5. Connect the PCV fresh air tube (1) quick connect fitting to the air cleaner outlet duct.
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
