Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Partially remove the front door weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1179350 Size: SH
  3. Remove the cover from the garnish trim fasteners.

    4. Object Number: 1179322 Size: SH
  4. Remove the garnish trim fasteners.

    5. Object Number: 1179406 Size: SH
  5. Starting at the top, remove the windshield garnish trim by pulling straight out.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1179406 Size: SH
  1. Starting at the bottom, install the windshield garnish trim.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1179322 Size: SH
  2. Install the garnish trim fastener.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 3 N·m (26 lb in).


    Object Number: 1179350 Size: SH
  3. Install the cover to the garnish trim fastener.
  4. Install the front door weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement.
  5. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
