Tools Required

J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket.

1. Install a NEW valve lifter oil filter O-ring seal (4) into the valve lifter oil manifold (VLOM) (5).
2. Install the NEW valve lifter oil filter (3).
3. Install the NEW oil pressure sensor washer (2).

Important: If installing the old oil pressure sensor (2), apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the cleaned oil pressure sensor (2) thread.

4. Install the oil pressure sensor (3) to the VLOM (5).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




5. Tighten the oil pressure sensor (2) using the J 41712  (1).

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).




6. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
