Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1986585 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the rear wheelhouse liner (1) to rear bumper fascia retaining scrivets (2). Repeat for the opposite side.

    3. Object Number: 1937428 Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear bumper fascia (2) to rear quarter panel retaining screws (1). Repeat for opposite side

    4. Object Number: 2043468 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear bumper fascia to spare wheel carrier retaining scrivets (1).

    5. Repeat for opposite side.

  5. Disengage the rear bumper fascia (1) from the rear bumper fascia guide rail retaining tabs (2).

    6. Object Number: 2043471 Size: SH
  6. Disengage the rear bumper fascia (1) from the outer support retaining tabs (2).

    7. Repeat for opposite side.

  7. With the aid of an assistant, remove the rear bumper fascia by sliding rearward to disengage the rear bumper fascia (2) from the rear bumper fascia centre support (1).

Disassembly Procedure
  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia reflector. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Reflector Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear bumper fascia extension. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .

Assembly Procedure
  1. Install the rear bumper fascia extension. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .
  2. Install the rear bumper fascia reflector. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Reflector Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1937438 Size: SH
  1. With the aid of an assistant, install the rear bumper fascia by sliding forward to engage the rear bumper fascia (2) to the rear bumper fascia centre support (1).

    2. Object Number: 2043471 Size: SH
  2. Engage the rear bumper fascia (1) onto the outer support retaining tabs (2).

    3. Repeat for opposite side.

    Important: Make sure the rear bumper fascia is secured to the rear bumper fascia centre, outer and lower supports by hearing an audible click.

  3. Engage the rear bumper fascia (1) to rear bumper fascia guide rail retaining tabs (2).

    4. Object Number: 2043468 Size: SH
  4. Install the rear bumper fascia to spare wheel carrier retaining scrivets (1).

    5. Object Number: 1937428 Size: SH
  5. Install the rear bumper fascia (2) to rear quarter panel retaining screws (1). Repeat for opposite side.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1986585 Size: SH
  6. Install the rear wheelhouse liner (1) to rear bumper retaining scrivets (2). Repeat for opposite side.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
