Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2043854 Size: SH

    Important: Apply the park brake and move the transmission control lever to the D position.

  2. Remove the storage compartment to centre console retaining screws (1).
  3. Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement.

    4. Object Number: 2043855 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).

    5. Object Number: 2043856 Size: SH
  5. Pull the storage compartment (1) rearward to detach the storage compartment to instrument panel (I/P) centre trim panel retaining clips (2).
  6. Remove the storage compartment (1) from the I/P centre trim panel (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2043856 Size: SH
  1. Install the storage compartment (1) to the I/P centre trim panel (3).
  2. Ensure the storage compartment to I/P centre trim panel retaining clips (2) are located correctly.

    3. Object Number: 2043855 Size: SH
  3. Connect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).
  4. Install the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2043854 Size: SH
  5. Install the storage compartment to centre console retaining screws (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement.
