Removal Procedure
- Open the engine compartment hood and secure it in the raised position with a suitable brace.
- Disengage and remove the hood scoop duct (1) from the engine hood inner (2).
- Using a suitable tool, release the hood scoop retaining clips (1) from the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
- Remove the brace and lower the engine hood.
- Disengage the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) from the engine hood sheetmetal (2) and raise the hood scoop (3) upwards and away from the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
Important: The hood scoop duct is a malleable material and is susceptible to damage if not treated with due care.
Important: Protect the paint and body work with tape or a clean cloth. Failure to do so may result in damage to painted surfaces.
Installation Procedure
- Locate the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2), and lower the hood scoop (3) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
- Open the engine compartment hood and secure it in the raised position with a suitable brace.
- Applying suitable force, align and engage the hood scoop retaining clips (1) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
- Install the hood scoop duct (1) onto the engine hood inner (2).
- Remove the suitable brace and close the engine compartment hood.
Important: Make sure the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) are correctly aligned and engaged during the installation procedure to prevent fitment issues.
Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
Important: Protect the paint and body work with tape or a clean cloth. Failure to do so may result in damage to painted surfaces.
