Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2041126  Size: SH

    Important:  When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

    Important: The hood scoop duct is a malleable material and is susceptible to damage if not treated with due care.

  1. Open the engine compartment hood and secure it in the raised position with a suitable brace.
  2. Disengage and remove the hood scoop duct (1) from the engine hood inner (2).

  4. Using a suitable tool, release the hood scoop retaining clips (1) from the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
  5. Remove the brace and lower the engine hood.

  6. Object Number: 2041128  Size: SH

    Important: Protect the paint and body work with tape or a clean cloth. Failure to do so may result in damage to painted surfaces.

  7. Disengage the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) from the engine hood sheetmetal (2) and raise the hood scoop (3) upwards and away from the engine hood sheetmetal (2).

Installation Procedure

    Important: Make sure the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) are correctly aligned and engaged during the installation procedure to prevent fitment issues.

    Important:  When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

    Important: Protect the paint and body work with tape or a clean cloth. Failure to do so may result in damage to painted surfaces.

  1. Locate the hood scoop retaining hooks (1) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2), and lower the hood scoop (3) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2).
  2. Open the engine compartment hood and secure it in the raised position with a suitable brace.

  3. Object Number: 2041127  Size: SH

    Important: Make sure the hood scoop retaining clips (1) are correctly aligned and engaged during the installation procedure to prevent fitment issues.

    Important: Suitable precaution must be taken to protect all exterior painted surfaces from damage.

  4. Applying suitable force, align and engage the hood scoop retaining clips (1) into the engine hood sheetmetal (2).

  5. Object Number: 2041126  Size: SH

    Important:  When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

    Important: The hood scoop duct (1) is a malleable material and is susceptible to damage if not treated with due care.

    Important: The hood scoop duct (1) must be checked for correct engagement around its entire contact with the engine hood inner (2) surface once installed.

  6. Install the hood scoop duct (1) onto the engine hood inner (2).
  7. Remove the suitable brace and close the engine compartment hood.
