Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet assembly. Refer to Air Inlet Assembly Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 2043976  Size: SH
  3. Remove the recirculation actuator to air inlet assembly retaining screws (1).
  4. Remove the recirculation actuator (2) from the air inlet assembly (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the recirculation actuator (2) to the air inlet assembly (3).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recirculation actuator to air inlet assembly retaining screws (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  5. Inspect air intake door shaft end for damage, also check the air intake door for full movement, open/close. If damage is evident, replace the air intake housing.
  6. Install the air inlet assembly. Refer to Air Inlet Assembly Replacement .
  7. Perform HVAC system relearn. Refer to HVAC Control Module Programming and Setup .
