Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 2041140 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the turn signal switch electrical connector (1).

    4. Object Number: 2041141 Size: SH

    Important: Press the retaining tabs (2) on the turn signal switch (1) and pull the turn signal switch assembly away from the steering column (3).

  4. Remove the turn signal switch assembly from the steering column (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2041141 Size: SH

    Important: Listen for an audible click from the retaining tabs (2) to confirm correct fitting.

  1. Install the turn signal switch (1) into the steering column (3).

    2. Object Number: 2041140 Size: SH
  2. Connect the turn signal switch electrical connector (1).
  3. Install the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
  4. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  5. Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
