1. Power Outlet Receptacle Malfunction

Circuit/System Description

The power outlet receptacle accessory is supplied B+ and ground when the appropriate accessory is in use.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate power outlet receptacle.
  2. Test for less than 1 Ω between the ground circuit terminal B and ground.
  3. If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the B+ circuit terminal A and ground.
  5. If less than the specified range, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  6. Replace the appropriate power outlet receptacle.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
