Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2040554 Size: SH
  1. Remove the diagnostic plug to I/P lower trim plate assembly retaining screws (2).
  2. Remove the diagnostic plug (1) from the I/P lower trim plate assembly (3).

    3. Object Number: 2039758 Size: SH
  3. Grasp the I/P lower trim plate assembly (1) and carefully pull downward to disengage the retaining clips.
  4. Remove the I/P lower trim plate assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2039758 Size: SH
  1. Install the diagnostic plug (2) to the I/P lower trim plate assembly (1).
  2. Align the I/P lower trim plate assembly (1) to the I/P.
  3. Install the I/P lower trim plate assembly (1) to the I/P by pushing in the area of the retaining clips (2).
  4. Ensure all clips are located correctly.

    5. Object Number: 2040554 Size: SH
  5. Install the diagnostic plug (1) to the I/P lower trim plate assembly (3).

    6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Install the diagnostic plug to I/P lower trim plate assembly retaining screws (2) and tighten to 2  N·m (18 lb in)
