Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2005 🢒 GTO 🢒 Brakes 🢒 Hydraulic Brakes 🢒 Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel rail cover from the left side of the engine.

    2. Object Number: 1547478 Size: SH
  2. Compress the hose clamp (3) and move the hose clamp away from the brake booster check valve (4).
  3. Hold the check valve and twist the brake booster hose in order to separate the hose from the fitting on the check valve.
  4. Remove the check valve from the grommet on the brake booster.
  5. Remove the grommet from the booster.

  6. Compress the hose clamp (2) and move the hose clamp away from the intake manifold fitting.
  7. Hold the intake manifold fitting and twist the hose in order to remove the hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1366997 Size: SH
  1. Install the 2 hose clamps to the brake booster hose (3).
  2. Align the hose to the intake manifold fitting. Ensure the blue alignment dot (1) on the hose is facing upward.
  3. Install the hose to the intake manifold fitting.
  4. Compress the hose clamp (2) and move the hose clamp past the wider portion of the fitting. Release the hose clamp on the narrow portion of the fitting in order to retain the hose to the fitting.

    5. Object Number: 1547478 Size: SH
  5. Install the grommet to the brake booster (1).
  6. Install the check valve (4) to the grommet on the booster.
  7. Install the hose to the fitting on the check valve.
  8. Compress the hose clamp (3) and move the hose clamp past the wider portion of the fitting. Release the hose clamp on the narrow portion of the fitting in order to retain the hose to the fitting.
  9. Install the fuel rail cover to the left side of the engine.
