The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
The B1019 code will be present in the PIM for all manual transmission equipped GTOs. This is due to a conflict with the messaging the PIM is receiving.
Recommendation/Instructions:
It cannot be fixed in the GTO manual transmission equipped vehicle. However, because the MIL is hard-wired to the ECM, the presence of this DTC is masked out by the instrument cluster so will not manifest as a "check engine" message or a MIL. So please ignore DTC B1019 as an updated PIM change to repair the concern is due later this year.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
