Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 550637  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  3. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
  4. Remove the front generator bracket bolt and front bracket.

  5. Object Number: 211626  Size: SH
  6. Remove the generator rear mounting bolt to the engine (2).
  7. Remove the generator rear bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 211626  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the generator rear bracket and bolt (2) to the engine .
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the generator rear mounting bolt to the engine (2) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the generator front bracket and bolt to the engine.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the generator bracket bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
  6. Install the accessory drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  7. Install the air cleaner assembly intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
