Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the front frame in order to access the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Front Frame Replacement in Frame and Underbody.

  2. Object Number: 1386895  Size: SH
  3. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the insulator brackets (3) to the front frame.
  4. Remove the brackets from the insulators (4).
  5. Remove the insulators from the stabilizer shaft (5).
  6. Use a wrench in order to hold the link lower studs.
  7. Remove the nuts and the stabilizer shaft from the links.
  8. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the front frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1386895  Size: SH
  1. Install the insulators (4) to the stabilizer shaft (5).
  2. Ensure the slots in the insulators face forward.

  3. Install the stabilizer shaft to the front frame (1).
  4. Ensure the curved portions of the insulators seat in the curved mating surfaces on the front frame.

  5. Install the brackets (3) to the insulators.
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Install the nuts (2) in order to retain the brackets to the front frame.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  9. Install the shaft to the links.
  10. Use a wrench in order to hold the link lower studs.
  11. Install the nuts to the link lower studs.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  13. Install the front frame (2). Refer to Front Frame Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
