Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the all power windows inoperative fault is present.

Do the power windows operate normally?

With the ignition ON, are the power window switch green indicator LEDs illuminated?

Go to Step 11

  1. Disconnect the power window switch assembly.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the battery voltage circuit of the power window switch assembly with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 10

Probe the power window switch side of the power window relay contacts with a test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 16

Probe the power window relay coil and switch battery feed circuits with a test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Reconnect the power window switch.
  2. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper the relay coil control circuit at the power window relay to ground.

With the ignition ON, are the master window switch green indicator LEDs illuminated?

Using a fused jumper wire, jumper the relay coil control circuit at the body control module (BCM) to ground.

With the ignition ON, are the master window switch green indicator LEDs illuminated?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the BCM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
