J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1377383  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector (3).
  3. Remove the pressure sensor from the high pressure line (2).
  4. Remove and discard the O-ring.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new O-ring. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pressure sensor to the high pressure line (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the pressure sensor electrical connector (3).
  6. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A .
  7. Install the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
