DEFINITION: With the ignition in either the Accessories position or the On position, DTC 10 will set if a fascia panel control button remains pressed or stuck for more than 40 seconds.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information

Check that the fascia and every button for signs of damage, foreign objects, poor or sticking operation. Check the escutcheon surrounding the radio is not distorted and exerting pressure on the radio fascia.

Is there damage or foreign objects present to cause the problem?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Clear any objects and clean any residue.

Does the button function correctly?

System OK

Go to Step 6

Check the stuck button for signs of poor operation.

Does the button stick for no apparent reason?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

1. Connect a scan tool to the DLC.
2. Select Diagnostics/Model Year/Vehicle Model/Body/Audio System/Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Clear DTC Information.
3. Press all the buttons several times.
4. Allow the radio to operate for several minutes. Do not press any buttons during this time.

Does the DTC set again?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the audio system head unit. Refer to Radio Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
