SUBJECT: SECTION 8A - REVISED ELECTRICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 "N" MODEL

This is an update to Section 8A of the Pontiac and Buick "N" Series Service Manuals.

Revised electrical and diagnostic information and late production design changes have been made. The attached pages are to supplement the previous information in Section BA.

8A-45-0 E Late Production The '.5 YEL 43' wire between the RDO IGN Fuse and S242 should be marked "With Cruise Control (K34)". For all other op- tions change the wire to '.8 YEL 43'.

Change the '.5 BLK/WHT' wire between term D2 of the EVO Controller and S217 to '.8 BLK-WHT'.

C Change the '.5 ORN/BLK' wire between term A1 of the EVO Controller and term B of the Steering Wheel Position Sensor to '.8 ORN/BLK'.

Change the '.5 GRY' wire between term D1 of the EVO Controller and term A of the Steering Wheel Position Sensor to '.8 GRY'.

E Change the '.5 DK GRN' wire between term A2 of the EVO Controller and S218 to '.8 DK GRN'.

Change the '.5 BRN' wire between term B1 of the EVO Controller and term B4 of the EVO Solenoid to '.8 BRN'.

8A-100-0 B Late Production Change both '1 BLK 151' wires between the RH Composite Headlight Assembly and S105 to '2 BLK 151'.

8A-100-1 B Late Production Change the '1 PPL' wire between term A of the Fog Light Relay and S107 to '2 PPL'.

Change the '1 PPL' wire between S107 and term B of the RH Fog Light to '2 PPL'.

Change the '1 BLK' wire between term A of the RH Fog Light and S105 to '2 BLK'.

B Change the '.5 WHT 156' wire between term E of C326 and S321 to '.8 WHT 156'.

B Delete .5 Gauge 4 door option from 156 wires. The 156 wire between term E of C326 and S321 should be '.8 WHT'. The 156 wire between term F of C1 of the RKE module and S321 should be '.5 WHT.

8A-114-2 C Late Production Delete .5 Gauge 4 door option from 156 wires. The 156 wire between term E of C326 and S321 should be '.8 WHT.

8A-114-3 A Late Production Delete .5 Gauge 4 door option from 156 wires. The 156 wire between term E of C326 and S321 should be '.8 WHT'.

8A-120-3 E,F Late Production Under "LOCATION" for the Power Window Control Module, change "Center of LH front door" to "Behind LH side of I/P, at steering column".

8A-131-0 F Late Production The '2 ORN/BLK 60' wire should be changed to '3 ORN/BLK 60' for D67, AX3, AC3, and U75 options only.

8A-132-0 E Late Production The '2 ORN/BLK 60' wire should be changed to '30 RN/BLK 60'.
