Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (3) securing
the cooler pipe assembly (1) to the underbody.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).
- Unplug the hoses.
- Connect the return hoses (2,5) to the cooler pipe assembly (3).
- Attach the hose clamps (4) to the return hoses (2,5).
- Raise the suspension support and tighten the bolts in the order
listed:
Tighten
• | Tighten the center bolts to 120N·m (89 lb ft). |
• | Tighten the front bolts to 120N·m (89 lb ft). |
• | Tighten the rear bolts to 120N·m (89 lb ft). |
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill the power steering reservoir with fluid, if needed. Refer
to
