Was the BTSI System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control System Check

1. Disconnect the automatic transaxle control connector.
2. Place the ignition switch in the OFF-UNLOCK or the RUN position.
3. Connect the test lamp between terminal F and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair the open in CKT 1020.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Place the gear selector in the PARK position.
2. Connect the automatic transaxle control connector.
3. Backprobe terminal C to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 5

Test for binding or for out of adjustment linkage.

Is the linkage correctly adjusted?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the automatic transaxle control. Refer to the TURM manual.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Correct the linkage.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the ignition lock solenoid.
2. Place the gear selector in the PARK position.
3. Place the ignition switch in RUN.
4. Connect the test lamp between terminal A and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 961.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Connect the test lamp between terminal A and terminal B.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 150.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the ignition lock solenoid.

Is the repair complete?

System OK
