Did you perform the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the daytime running lamp relay.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 87 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Connect a fused jumper between terminal 30 and terminal 87.

Do the headlamps light?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 85 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector.
  2. Set the scan tool to DRL STATUS.
  3. Start the engine and move the transaxle out of park.
  4. Verify that the park brake is disengaged.

Does the scan tool indicate ACTIVE?
