Did you perform the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

1. Disconnect the daytime running lamp relay.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 87 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a fused jumper between terminal 30 and terminal 87.

Do the headlamps light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 85 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 9

1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector.
2. Set the scan tool to DRL STATUS.
3. Start the engine and move the transaxle out of park.
4. Verify that the park brake is disengaged.

Does the scan tool indicate ACTIVE?

Test for an open in CKT 592.

Repair the open in CKT 640. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 593. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

Repair the open in CKT 41. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

Repair the open in CKT 592. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

Refer to diagnostics in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the DRL relay.
