Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 443964 Size: SH
  1. The multifunction lever (2) contains the following switches:
    2. • The headlamp switch (1)
    • The headlamp dimmer
    • The turn signal switch (1)
    • The hazard switch
    • The cruise control switch (3), if equipped
  2. Remove the inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  4. Remove the tilt lever (if equipped) from the steering column (4). Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  5. Remove the upper and the lower column covers.
  6. Remove the switch assembly (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 443964 Size: SH
  1. Install the switch assembly (2).
  2. Install the upper and the lower column covers.
  3. Install the tilt lever (if equipped) to the column. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
  4. Install the inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  5. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
