Removal Procedure
Important: The rear defogger/antenna modules for the coupe and the sedan are similar
in appearance. However, the modules are different internally. Do NOT interchange
the modules.
- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the rear seatback. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the rear interior trim panels. Refer to the following procedures
in Interior Trim:
- Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to
Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear
End.
- Move the insulation aside.
- Remove the rear defogger/antenna module screws (2).
- Disconnect the antenna lead (1).
- Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
- Remove the module (4).
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical connector (3).
- Connect the antenna lead (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the module
(4) with the screws (2).
Tighten
Tighten the rear defogger/antenna module screws to 1.5 N·m
(17 lb in).
- Reposition the insulation.
- Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to
Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear
End.
- Install the rear interior trim panels. Refer to the following
procedures in Interior Trim:
- Install the rear seatback. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
in Seats.
