Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 384018 Size: MH
  1. Remove the conduit coupling from the hood latch (1).
  2. Remove the ball (2) of the hood latch release cable from the hood latch (1).
  3. Push the grommet from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment.
  4. Remove the side trim panel retainers.
  5. Remove the hood latch release cable screw.
  6. Remove the hood latch release cable handle from the hinge pillar.
  7. Remove the hood latch release cable (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 384018 Size: MH
  1. Install the hood release cable (4) through the hole in the dash panel.
  2. Apply sealer to the grommet and pull the grommet from the engine compartment until the grommet is seated in the dash panel hole.
  3. Connect the ball (2) of the hood latch release cable to the hood latch (1).
  4. Install the conduit coupling to the hood latch (1).
  5. Install the release cable handle to the hinge pillar.
  6. Install the hood latch release cable screw.
  7. Install the side trip panel retainers.
