Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 384038 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .

  3. Remove the 2 upper bolts (6).
  4. Remove the bolts (7).
  5. Remove the impact bar (2) from the body.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 384038 Size: SH
  1. Install the impact bar (2) to the body.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the bolts (7).
  3. Install the 2 upper bolts (6).

    4. Tighten

        • Tighten the 2 upper bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
        • Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
  4. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement .
  5. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
