Front Side Door Upper Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement for Pontiac Grand Am 1998

1. Remove the door mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .
2. Pull away the upper section of the door window run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .



3. Remove the front door window outer sealing strip screws (2).
4. Remove the front door window outer sealing strip (1).

1. Install the front door window outer sealing strip (1).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the front door window outer sealing strip screws (2).

Tighten
Screw to fully driven, seated, not stripped.

3. Pull away the upper section of the door window run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement .
4. Install the door mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement .
