The sunroof switch controls the position of the sunroof. The sunroof panel may be slid open or closed, or the rear of the panel may be tilted up into the vent position.
When you move the sunroof switch to the OPEN/VENT position, power is sent through the vent limit switch to the sunroof motor. When the sunroof panel reaches the vent position, the vent limit switch opens and cuts power to the sunroof motor. In order to continue operation to the sliding mode, the driver must release the sunroof switch. When the driver presses and releases the switch again, the sunroof control module goes into express mode. The sunroof panel will open to its full position, unless the driver presses the sunroof switch again.
When the driver presses the CLOSE switch, the sunroof panel will close to its fully closed position, unless the driver releases the sunroof switch again.
The soft stop limit switch senses the fully open or closed position. This switch remains in the open position during travel, but closes when the sunroof is fully open or fully closed.
