Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the side upper garnish molding from the windshield, on the sunshade vanity mirror only. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper .
  2. Disconnect the sunshade wiring harness connector, on the sunshade vanity mirror only.

  3. Object Number: 384918  Size: MH
  4. Remove the sunshade screws (3).
  5. Apply downward pressure on the sunshade elbow in order to disengage the sunshade spring clip (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sunshade (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunshade screws (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to fully drive, seated, not stripped.

  5. Connect the sunshade wiring harness connector (sunshade vanity mirror only).
  6. Install the side upper garnish molding to the windshield. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper .
