For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Some of the moldings and emblems are attached to the body panels with adhesive tape.
  2. Ensure that the panel surface is clean.

  3. Warm the panel surface to 21-32°C (70-90°F).

  4. Object Number: 241644  Size: SH
  5. Wash the panel with soap and water. Wipe the panel dry.
  6. Important: Do not use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or equivalent on air dry enamel.

  7. Use a clean cloth in order to wipe the panel and the adhesive side of the molding with 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or equivalent.
  8. If the molding has pulled loose and the adhesive backing remains on the body panel, do not remove the tape from the body. Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or equivalent in order to clean the back of the molding and the tape on the body.
  9. Apply a length of masking tape to the panel as a molding guide, if needed. You may also use a straight edge as a guide.
  10. Apply adhesive to back of the molding and press the molding into place.
  11. If you use Loctite 414 adhesive or equivalent, apply a constant pressure to the molding for 30 seconds or until bonded.
