Complete the following steps in order to replace a damaged weld stud on an outer panel:

1. Drill a 2.3 mm (3/32 in) hole in the panel next to original weld stud location.
2. Install one of the following fasteners:

•	Insert a self sealing screw through the original clip into the outer panel.

•	Replace the damaged weld stud with a self sealing screw type weld stud.
