Removal Procedure
- Remove the weatherstrip (1) form the gutter flange.
- Remove all traces of adhesive (2) from around the perimeter of the opening.
Installation Procedure
- Install the weatherstrip (1) to the gutter flange.
- Ensure that the clinch is completely seated to the flange around the entire opening.
- Test the weatherstrip using a hose with no nozzle attached in order to ensure that no leaks are present.
- Brush the weatherstrip with adhesive GM P/N 3M-08011 or an equivalent around the perimeter of the flange.
Important: When you install the weatherstrip flange, apply light hand pressure in order to seat the strip. Impact loads, such as with a mallet, result in waterleaks.
If leaks are present, remove the weatherstrip.
