Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 13315  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  2. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the throttle position (TP) sensor attaching screws (1).
  4. Remove the TP sensor (2) and the seal (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. With the throttle valve in the normal closed position, install the throttle position sensor (2) and the seal (3) onto the throttle body assembly.
  2. Important: Install new TP sensor attaching screws when replacing TP sensor.

  3. Install the 2 TP sensor screws (1).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Reinstall the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  6. Reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
