Cruise Control Cable Adjustment 2.4L
- Verify that the throttle
body is at the closed position in order to adjust the cable.
- Adjust the thumb screw in order to remove any slack in the cruise
control cable.
- Verify that the throttle body cam returns to the closed position.
Cruise Control Cable Adjustment 3.4L
- Disengage the adjustment
lock tab (4) on the cruise control cable.
- Lift straight up on the cable.
- The cable will move freely in and out of the adjuster when the
lock is disengaged.
- Verify that the throttle body is at the closed position (2).
- Remove any slack in the cruise control cable by moving the cable
into or out of the adjuster.
- The cruise control throttle body cam (6) will rest against
the throttle lever when the cable is properly adjusted.
Important: Do not remove the adjustment lock tab from the cable. If the adjustment
lock tab becomes separated from the cruise control cable, replace the cable.
- Push down, in order to engage the adjustment lock tab (4).
- Verify that the throttle body cam returns to the closed position.
