The Data Display function contains lists of ABS and ETS
data parameters. A brief description of all ABS and ETS data parameters available
on the scan tool are listed below. The list is arranged in alphabetical order.
ABS Active: The scan tool displays Yes or No - The scan tool displays Yes when
the ABS is active. This scan tool displays No during normal vehicle operation.
ABS Relay Command: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays On during
vehicle operation. The EBCM commands the ABS relay On when Ignition positive
voltage is present.
ABS Warning Lamp: The scan tool displays Off or On - The scan tool displays whether
or not the ABS warning indicator is currently being commanded ON.
Auto Learn Timer: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive - Display indicates if
TIM is currently in learn mode.
Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 to 17 Volts - The scan tool displays the
level of battery voltage at the EBCM.
Brake Switch: The scan tool displays Off or On - The scan tool displays the state
of the brake switch.
Brake Switch On This Ign: The scan tool displays Yes or No - The scan tool displays whether
the brake pedal has been applied during the current ignition cycle.
Brake Warning Lamp: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays the state
of the red brake warning lamp.
Brake Warning Lamp Cmd: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays the commanded
state of the red brake warning indicator.
EBCM to PCM Requested: The scan tool displays 0-100 percent - The scan tool displays
the duty cycle of the Delivered Torque PWM signal. The duty cycle of the signal
is used to transmit how much torque the EBCM is requesting the PCM to deliver.
Normal values are between 10 and 90 percent duty cycle. The signal should
be at 90 percent duty cycle when ETS is not active and at lower values (approximately
10 percent) when ETS is active.
ETS Status EBCM: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive - The scan tool displays
the commanded state of the ETS from the EBCM.
ETS Status PCM: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive - The scan tool displays
the commanded state of the ETS from the PCM.
ETS Switch: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays the state
of the ETS switch.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-17 Volts - The scan tool displays
the level of ignition positive voltage at the EBCM.
Left Front ABS Motor: The scan tool displays Forward or Reverse - The scan tool displays
the direction in which the left front ABS motor is being commanded.
Left Front ABS Motor Cmd: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of commanded current to the left front ABS motor.
Left Front ABS Motor Fd: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of feedback current from the left front ABS motor.
Left Front Solenoid Cmd: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays the commanded
state of the left front solenoid.
Left Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h or 0-158 mph - The
scan tool displays the actual speed of the left front wheel.
Left Rear Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h or 0-158 mph - The
scan tool displays the actual speed of the left rear wheel.
Low Tire Pressure: The scan tool displays Yes or No - The scan tool displays whether
or not the tires should be checked for proper inflation.
Monitor Mode 1: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive - The display indicates
if TIM is currently in mode 1 monitoring. The EBCM has limited detection
capability for a low tire condition and has only partially learned the tire
inflation configuration for the speed range.
Monitor Mode 2: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive - The display indicates
if TIM is currently in mode 2 monitoring. The EBCM has full detection
capability for a low tire condition and has fully learned the tire inflation
configuration for the speed range.
PCM to EBCM Delivered: The scan tool displays 0-100 percent - The scan tool displays
the duty cycle of the Requested Torque PWM signal. The duty cycle of the signal
is used to transmit how much engine torque the PCM is delivering. Normal
values are between 10 and 90 percent duty cycle. The signal is at low values
(approximately 10 percent) at idle and at higher values under driving conditions.
Rear ABS Motor Cmd: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of commanded current to the rear ABS motor.
Rear ABS Motor Feedback: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of feedback current from the rear ABS motor.
Right Front ABS Motor: The scan tool displays Forward or Reverse - The scan tool displays
the direction in which the right front ABS motor is being commanded.
Right Front ABS Motor Cmd: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of commanded current to the right front ABS motor.
Right Front ABS Motor Fd: The scan tool displays Amps - The scan tool displays the amount
of feedback current from the right front ABS motor.
Right Front Solenoid Cmd: The scan tool displays On or Off - The scan tool displays the commanded
state of the right front solenoid.
Right Front Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h or 0-158 mph - The
scan tool displays the actual speed of the right front wheel.
Right Rear Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h or 0-158 mph - The
scan tool displays the actual speed of the right rear wheel.
Steering Wheel Position: The scan tool displays 0 to 5 Volts - The scan tool displays the
position of the steering wheel in volts.
Vehicle Speed: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h or 0-158 mph - This
parameter displays the vehicle speed. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
receives reference pulses from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and
converts them into km/h or MPH for display.
VES Actuator Commanded: The scan tool displays milliAmps - The scan tool displays the amount
of commanded current to the VES Actuator.
