Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sound insulator from inside the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side or the Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the clutch master cylinder pushrod from the clutch pedal.

  3. Object Number: 100690  Size: SH
  4. Remove the master cylinder retaining nuts at the front of the dash.

  5. Object Number: 100694  Size: SH
  6. Remove the remote reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 621603  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the clutch actuator cylinder line.

  9. Object Number: 105496  Size: SH
  10. Remove the clutch master cylinder assembly from the clutch actuator cylinder.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the clutch master cylinder assembly to the clutch actuator cylinder.

  2. Object Number: 621603  Size: SH
  3. Connect the clutch actuator cylinder line.

  4. Object Number: 100694  Size: SH
  5. Install the remote reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 100690  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the master cylinder retaining nuts at the front of the dash.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts evenly to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  9. Install the pushrod to the clutch pedal.
  10. Adjust the cruise control clutch release switch.
  11. Install the sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side or the Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  12. Bleed the hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
