Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement for Pontiac Grand Am 2000
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door
trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
in Doors.
- Remove the screws (2) from the front door speaker.
- Remove the front door speaker (3) from the front door.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the front door speaker.
- Remove the front door speaker base from the front door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front door
speaker base to the front door.
- Connect the electrical connector to the front door speaker.
- Install the front door speaker (3) to the speaker base.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front door speaker screws
(2).
Tighten
Tighten the front door speaker screw to 6 N·m(53 lb in).
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to

in Doors.
