Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear split folding seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
- Remove the pivot bolt from the rear seat back.
- Release the hook and loop retainer at the lower rear seat back.
- Pull back the rear seat cover to access the staples.
- Remove the staples from the rear seat cover.
- Remove the rear seat cover from the rear seat back frame by pulling down and release the hook and loop retainers as you pull off the cover.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear seat cover to the rear seat back frame by pulling down over the seat back.
- Position the hook and loop retainers as you pull on the cover and press into place with firm hand pressure.
- Pull back the rear seat cover.
- Install new staples to the rear seat cover.
- Attach the hook and loop retainer at the lower rear seat back.
- Install the pivot bolt to the rear seat back.
- Install the rear split folding seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat back pivot bolt to 40 N·m(30 lb ft).
