Wind Noise Heard From Rear of Vehicle (Adjust Primary Seal Flange)

Some customers may comment that when driving at highway speeds, a howl/bottle type noise is heard at the rear of the vehicle .

This condition may be caused by the deck lid not contacting the seal.

Adjust the primary sealing flange.

1. Make sure the deck is flush to the body before adjusting the primary sealing flange.




Important: Do not over adjust. This will increase the deck lid closing effort.

2. Adjust the primary sealing flange by placing a block of wood under the flange and bending it upward slightly with a hammer.
