DEFINITION: Engine continues to run after key is turned OFF, but runs very rough. If the engine runs smooth, inspect the ignition switch and adjustment.

Preliminary

•	Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls .

•	Refer to Symptoms - Engine Controls .

•	Search for service bulletins.

Fuel System

Test for leaking fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Injector Balance Test with Special Tool or Fuel Injector Balance Test with Tech 2 .

Additional

Inspect the EVAP system for the purging of fuel vapors into the intake manifold.
