Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement Sedan

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat bolster, if equipped. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Bolster Replacement .
  2. Pull out the door weatherstrip as required.

  3. Object Number: 735862  Size: SH
  4. Pull firmly and evenly in order to remove the upper quarter trim panel.
  5. Remove the seat belt strap through the slot in the panel.
  6. Remove the panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 735862  Size: SH
  1. Position the upper quarter trim panel and align the retaining clips.
  2. Install the seat belt in the trim panel T slot.
  3. Press on the trim panel to ensure that the clips are engaged.
  4. Install the door weatherstrips.
  5. Install the rear seat bolster, if equipped. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Bolster Replacement .

Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement Coupe

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 607929  Size: SH
  1. Remove the guide cover from the front seat shoulder belt.
  2. Remove the guide bolt from the front seat shoulder belt.
  3. Remove the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  4. Pull out the door weatherstrip as required.

  5. Object Number: 607930  Size: SH
  6. Carefully remove the upper quarter trim panel from the retaining clips.
  7. Route the seat belt through the T slot in the upper quarter trim.

Installation Procedure

  1. Route the seat belt through the T slot in the upper quarter trim.

  2. Object Number: 607930  Size: SH
  3. Position the upper quarter trim panel and align the retaining clips.
  4. Press on the panel to ensure that the clips are engaged.
  5. Install the coat hook. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 607929  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the guide bolt to the front seat shoulder belt.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  9. Install the guide cover to the front seat shoulder belt.
  10. Install the door weatherstrips.
