Heater Inlet Hose Replacement L61

Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Use
J 38185
to release tension from the inlet heater hose clamp at the engine port.
Disconnect the inlet heater hose (1) from the engine port.
Use
J 38185
to reposition the inlet heater hose clamp from the heater core.
Disconnect the inlet heater hose (2) from the heater core.
Remove the inlet heater hose.
Installation Procedure
Install the inlet heater hose.
Connect the inlet heater hose (2) to the heater core.
Use
J 38185
to reposition the inlet heater hose clamp onto the heater core.
Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the engine.
Release tension on the inlet heater hose clamp.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.

Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to

in Engine Cooling.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the inlet heater hose clamp from the quick-connect fitting.
Disconnect the inlet heater hose (1) from the quick-connect fitting.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the inlet heater hose clamp from the heater core.
Disconnect the inlet heater hose from the heater core.
Remove the inlet heater hose.
Installation Procedure
Install the inlet heater hose.
Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the inlet heater hose clamp onto the heater core.
Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the quick-connect fitting.
Use the
J 38185
reposition the inlet hose clamp onto the quick connect fitting.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
