DUAL CAPACITY ACC. PUMP INOP MISSING WIRE CORRECTION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986 Pontiac 'G' Models Built Before VIN G2265411 With (LG4) 5.0L Engine and (NM5) Canadian Emissions

Some 1986 Pontiac 'G' models built before VIN G2265411 with (LG4) 5.0L engine and (NM5) Canadian Emissions may have an inoperative dual capacity accelerator pump solenoid due to a wire missing from cavity 'A5' of the instrument panel wiring harness bulkhead connector (Figure 1).

To repair this condition it will be necessary to make and install a jumper wire from the 'ignition 1' cavity in front of the fuse block (Figure 2) to cavity 'A5' (Figure 1) of the bulkhead connector.

The jumper wire should consist of:

1 - 12004892 Connector Body 1 - 8917928 Terminal 1 - 12034046 Terminal 30CM - No. 8 Ga. Black Wire
