FRONT STRUT CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT (PROCEDURE & PART)

Models Affected: 1988-1990 GRAND PRIX MODELS

When servicing front struts on 1988 - 1990 Grand Prix vehicles for a leak condition, strut cartridges, part number 22074850, should be utilized in lieu of complete strut assemblies.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

Replacement procedures are outlined in the following service manuals:

Use appropriate labor operation, "cartridge front shock absorber/ strut-replace" found in the respective labor time guide.
