SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

The following Notice should be inserted following Steering Wheel Removal, in Section 3F1 and 3F2 of the 1989 Grand Prix Service Manual.

NOTICE: WHEN REMOVING A STEERING WHEEL WITH REDUNDANT ELECTRONIC ACCESSORY CONTROLS IN THE HUB, CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO AVOID DAMAGE TO ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS. WHEEL PULLER BOLTS, USED WITH SPECIAL TOOL J 1859-03, SHOULD BE TURNED INTO STEERING WHEEL HUB NO MORE THAN FIVE COMPLETE TURNS. THIS WILL PREVENT BOLT CONTACT WITH SENSITIVE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS.
