This bulletin cancels and replaces bulletin 90-10-2 issued 9/89. This bulletin provides new part numbers for the 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Condition: Owners of some 1990 Grand Prix models (see models affected) may comment on a white powder type substance on the rubber seal of the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL).
Cause: The substance is a bleed-out of sulphur used in the processing of the rubber.
Correction: Replace the shield and seal assembly with a new one. New part numbers are listed below:

Parts are expected to be available on February 26, 1990. Until then normal part orders will not be accepted by GMSPO. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. All parts will be placed on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense. All other order types will be canceled as incorrectly ordered while the 400 control is in place.
