SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT THEIR FRONT DOOR GLASS RATTLES IN THE 2/3 TO ALMOST FULL DOWN POSITION WHEN CLOSING THE DOOR.
INSUFFICIENT PRESSURE ON THE DOOR GLASS AT THE INNER BELT SEAL.
INSTALL WINDOW STABILIZER BUMPER TO THE INNER BELT REINFORCEMENT FOLLOWING PROCEDURE BELOW:
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE DOOR TRIM PAD.
2. REMOVE OUTER BELT SEAL STRIP.
3. SEE ILLUSTRATION FOR BUMPER INSULATION LOCATION.
A. THE NOTCH IN THE INNER BELT REINFORCEMENT, 369MM (14.5") FORWARD OF THE REAR DOOR FRAME. (SEE ILLUSTRATION).
B. ON VEHICLES WITHOUT THE NOTCH, LOCATE THE BUMPER 470MM (18.5") FORWARD OF THE REAR PART OF THE DOOR FRAME.
C. ON PONTIAC SEDANS, MOUNT THE BUMPER AS PER STEP A.
4. WITH A 5MM OR 5/32" DRILL AND DRILL STOP INSTALLED ON THE DRILL BIT TO KEEP FROM DAMAGING THE DOOR GLASS, DRILL THROUGH THE SECOND LAYER OF SHEET METAL AT THE BUMPER MOUNTING LOCATION.
5. INSTALL BUMPER AND RIVET.
6. INSTALL INNER BELT SEAL AND TRIM PAD.
