THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO DELETE UNNECESSARY INFORMATION FROM THE CONDITION. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
THE WIRE HARNESS TO THE PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH ON THE TRANSAXLE MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RETAINED, AND MAY CONTACT THE AXLE SEAL. THIS CONTACT MAY EVENTUALLY WEAR THROUGH THE SEAL.
REPLACE THE DRIVE AXLE INBOARD SEAL FOLLOWING SERVICE MANUAL PROCEDURES. MAKE SURE THAT THE WIRE HARNESS IS PROPERLY RETAINED, USING ADDITIONAL HARNESS TIE STRAPS, IF NECESSARY, TO INSURE THAT THE HARNESS CANNOT CONTACT THE SEAL. REMEMBER TO ACCOUNT FOR ENGINE MOVEMENT WHEN POSITIONING THE HARNESS.
FOR VEHICLES REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, USE: LABOR OPERATION: N6270 (TO REPOSITION THE HARNESS) ADD TIME UNDER "OTHER HOURS" TO CHARGE FOR SEAL REPLACEMENT.
