Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 217913 Size: SH
  1. Remove the following:
    2. 1.1. Battery hold-down retainer bolt
    1.2. Battery hold-down retainer
    1.3. Spacer
  2. Clean the LOCKTITE™ off of the battery hold-down retainer bolt.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 217913 Size: SH
  1. Apply LOCKTITE™ P/N 12345382 to the battery hold-down retainer bolt.
  2. Install the following:
    3. 2.1. Spacer
    2.2. Battery hold-down retainer

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    2.3. Battery hold-down retainer bolt

    Tighten
    Tighten the battery hold-down retainer bolt to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
