Air in the power steering system
|
- Inspect the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System
Test Procedure.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering
System.

Loose/worn joints from the column to the steering gear
|
- Inspect the joints from the column to the steering gear for the
correct torque.
- Replace the joints from the column to the steering gear if necessary.
Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement or Steering Shaft, Lower
Bearing, Jacket- Disassemble (Floor Shift).

Loose steering gear
| Tighten the steering gear mounting bolts to specification.
Refer to
Fastener Tightening Specifications
or Power Steering Gear Replacement.

Loose tie rod ends
|
- Inspect the tie rod ends.
- Replace the tie rod ends if necessary. Refer to Tie Rod End Replacement
- Outer - On Vehicle.

Worn wheel bearings
| Replace the hub and bearing. Refer to Front Wheel Drive
Shaft Bearing Replacement.

Too much play in steering
